PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Product
The project aimed to help the search for real estate in big cities to make life easier for those who want to live alone or need to move due to job opportunities.
Project Duration
November - December 2021
The Problem
Finding a property that fits the budget, whether because of the decision to be independent or because you need to move to another city due to job opportunities, is a difficult task. There are a lot of visits, a lot of time involved and the real estate agents are not always friendly or do not explain all the doubts.
The Goal
Helping people to find their property in great neighborhoods at a price that fits their budget and that they can get information quickly and accurately, reducing the time to find the property they want.
My Role
UX Designer.
Responsibilities
Desktop research, digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for, iterating on designs and responsive design.
UNDERSTANDING THE USER
User Research - Summary
I conducted desktop research, user interviews, which I then turned into empathy maps to better understand the target user and their needs. I discovered that some users are difficult to find an apartment to rent.
User Research - Pain Points
Good neighborhood with good prices - Find good places to rent with a price that fits on the buget.
Navigation - Lots of information that makes the site confusing to navigate.
Images - Real images of how the property currently looks.
Personas
Problem Statement: Amanda is a new architect who needs to find an apartment in a big city because she got an excellent job opportunity.

User Journey Map

STARTING THE DESIGN
Sitemap
Difficulty navigating the site was an issue for users, so I used this knowledge to create a sitemap.
My goal here was to make strategic information architecture decisions that would improve overall site navigation.

Paper Wireframes
At this stage, some drafts were carried out in search of ideals for the organization of the website and its mobile version.

Digital Wireframes
The next step was to create a digital version of the wireframes in Adobe XD. I started with the larger screen sizes before creating the smaller screens.

Accessibility Considerations
I used high contrasting colors (contrastchecker.com) and appropriate font sizes (modularscale.com) to ensure that the website's content can be read by everyone.
